Warranty & Quality Guarantee

QUALITY GUARANTEE

We stand behind the durability of our composite profiles with the following guarantees from the date of purchase (as indicated on your invoice):

3-Year Coverage

You’re protected for a full three (3) years against:

  • Loss of mechanical properties
  • Cracks in the product
  • Deformation or warping

15-Year Protection

You also benefit from fifteen (15) years of coverage against:

  • Rotting and decay caused by fungi and bacteria
  • Damage caused by insects (including termites)

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

We want to ensure transparency, so please read the full warranty conditions carefully.

Territorial Scope

This warranty is valid exclusively for installations within the European Union and the United Kingdom.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

While we strive for excellence, there are situations where the warranty may not apply. These include the following.

Installation & Handling

  • Improper installation not following Dakota Living’s published installation instructions
  • Mishandling or incorrect use of the product
  • Damage from third parties or unforeseen external factors

Physical and Environmental Changes

  • Excessive load, heavy impact, or static pressure
  • Natural wear and tear (scratches, surface stains from oil, food, beverage, acids, alkalis, etc.)
  • Ground movement under the installation site
  • Damage caused by expansion or contraction due to temperature fluctuations, if installed with insufficient expansion gaps. (See table under "Installation guide".) 
  • Colour, shade, or texture changes from: ageing, uneven weather exposure, batch differences, air pollution, acid rain, algae, or mould

Cleaning & Maintenance

Use of non-recommended cleaning or maintenance products

Force Majeure

Events outside human control such as floods, fires, hurricanes, or earth movement

Product Changes

  • Dakota Living reserves the right to discontinue, update, or change the colour palette of its products at any time.
  • In the event of a product replacement, we cannot guarantee an exact color match with the originally installed product. 

HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

We make the process simple and fair.

Step-by-Step

1. Report the issue in writing within 10 days of discovering the defect.

2. Submit your claim to the original seller, along with:

  • A clear description and photographic details of the issue
  • A copy of the original purchase invoice, from the supplying company, detailing the products purchased
  • Confirmation of who installed the product with an invoice if a contractor was used.

3. The Warranty Provider may arrange an inspection or request further details to verify the claim.

4. Do not attempt to clean, repair, or modify the product before receiving written instructions from the Warranty Provider.

5. If approved for return or replacement, ensure the product is packaged and prepared for safe transport.

We aim to provide a clear and responsive process:

Upon acceptance of your claim:

  • We will reply within 14 days of receipt.
  • We may offer a partial refund, a product replacement, or a comparable substitute.

Please Note

  • The warranty covers transportation and product costs only.
  • It does not cover assembly, disassembly, storage, or installation services.

STAYING PROTECTED

This warranty complements, but does not replace your legal rights. It does not limit, reduce, or cancel any statutory protections or consumer rights you may have under applicable laws concerning the sale of goods.
